Chiyogami Maneki-Neko Medium Earrings
Handmade earrings made of birch wood covered with Japanese chiyogami paper and finished off with a shiny resin. The Japanese silk-screened paper is that of the Maneki-Neko AKA Lucky Cat. The wood piece measures 1 inch wide and around a 1/8 inch thickness. They have an almost 1.5 inch long nickel and lead-free brass kidney wire so the overall measure is around 2.5 inches long. They are a lovely statement piece that are very lightweight and comfortable to wear.
I love the symbolism of the Meneki-Neko, which literally means "beckoning cat". It brings good luck to its owner.
Because of the paper and wood, I advise to always take your Sweet Space jewelry off before bathing or swimming. Also, please do not spray alcohol products like hairspray or perfume because it can damage the piece.
