Chiyogami Black and Gold Asanaho Large Earrings
These handmade earrings are of birch wood covered with Japanese chiyogami paper and finished off with a shiny resin. The Japanese silk-screened paper is of a geometric pattern called "Asanoha" represented as hemp leaves and conveys a meaning of strength and beauty. The paper is black with the asanoha in an almost coppery metallic gold. So beautifully simple in its design, it is a piece that I wear often. The wood piece measures 1.5 inch wide and around a 1/8 inch thickness. They have an almost 1.5 inch long nickel and lead-free brass kidney wire so the overall measure is around 3 inches long. They are a lovely statement piece that are very lightweight and comfortable to wear.
Because of the paper and wood, I advise to always take your Sweet Space jewelry off before bathing or swimming. Also, please do not spray alcohol products like hairspray or perfume because it can damage the piece.
Due to the nature of the silk-screened paper the placement of the design may vary.
