Nepalese Lokta Stud Earrings-Copper and Teal
One of my all time favorite papers! The copper and teal are a perfect combination. They are handmade with screen printed lokta paper from Nepal that is placed on a 1/2 inch circle laser cut birch wood. The piece is finished off with a layer of resin. The metal earring findings are of lead and nickel-free stainless steel and have a a nice tight ear back.
Lokta paper is made from the rapidly-regenerating Daphne bush found abundantly in Himalayan forests. Handmade lokta paper continues to be a significant source of economic stability for rural Nepalese artisans.
Because of the paper and wood, I advise to always take your Sweet Space jewelry off before bathing or swimming. Also, please do not spray alcohol products like hairspray or perfume near them because it can damage the piece.
Due to the nature of the silk-screened paper the placement of the design may vary.
